This is a weird thing to say, considering the above pictures, but I don’t have the biggest sweet tooth. It’s true. So when I do develop something sweet, I usually try to sneak fruit or vegetables into it.
For example, I am a fan of churros. I mean, fried bread covered in sugar and cinnamon, what is not to love!? But basic churro batter is nothing more than flour, water and sugar. Oh, and sometimes egg.
So I wanted to create a churro that had a wee bit more to offer. Not only does this churro come with fresh pumpkin but it is also vegan. It’s so flavorful and amazing, it needed more than just sugar and cinnamon. So I covered mine in warm bourbon caramel. Yum!
